Job description

Operations Management Support - Sanford, North Carolina

This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in a cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications. The role also involves ensuring all reporting requirements are met for the area of supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Train employees and foster an environment that enables them to achieve maximum quality and productivity performance in their roles.
  2. Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machines to utilize departmental resources effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety, quality, and company standards.
  3. Manage employee performance, providing both positive and corrective feedback as needed.
  4. Promote goodwill within the department and company through proactive communication and employee involvement.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to investigate areas for quality improvement, cost reduction, process enhancement, yield control, and equipment maintenance; provide suggestions for improvements.
  6. Promote safety awareness throughout the work area.
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
  • One or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the poultry or food industry is a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience managing 20 or more employees.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Availability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends, as required.
Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in a related field preferred.
