Job summary

Wabash in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and coordinate manufacturing activities, supervise hourly coordinators and production staff, and coach the team to meet schedule requirements safely.

You will drive SQDCME metrics—Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment—through daily planning, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean methods, while maintaining SWIs and supporting onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology.
• 2+ years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the process and employees engaged in manufacturing to meet schedule attainment goals.
• Develops and executes production plans to achieve departmental and plant goals for SQDCME metrics.
• Completes daily production plan by scheduling personnel and establishing priorities.
• Manages labor, communicates clear job expectations, and drives productive results.
• Develops and trains employees to properly utilize all equipment and tools.
• Coaches and counsels employees, enforcing process controls and policies.
• Promotes a clean, safe work environment and cross-department cooperation.
• Maintains SWIs and completes required audits.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports onboarding.
