Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to direct shift operations, oversee hourly staff, and optimize safety, quality, and productivity across work centers. You will ensure efficient use of resources to meet departmental goals and customer expectations.

The role requires a post-secondary degree and at least three years of manufacturing experience with knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and production planning. SAP/Excel/Word proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree required.
At least 3 years in manufacturing with technical and managerial skills.
Knowledge of plastics industry; Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Integrated knowledge of production planning, scheduling, maintenance and basic accounting.
Computer skills: Word, Excel, SAP.

Responsibilities

Directs manufacturing and material handling for the plant on shift; oversees hourly employees and hire/promotion actions.
Manages plant work schedule to optimize manpower, machines and materials.
Maintains accuracy of production orders in the MII system for data-driven decisions.
Provides leadership, prevents conflicts and promotes teamwork.
Coaches staff to excel in their roles and responsibilities.
Communicates effectively across Engineering, Mold Shop, Scheduler, Shipping and Quality.
Maintains attendance and performance records.
Complies with CGMP and SOP documentation and labeling.
