Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead safety, quality, and manufacturing on the assigned shift. You will supervise Production Personnel, train staff, and ensure we meet customer needs with quality products.

You will set shift goals, monitor safety, coordinate with Quality, develop staff, and optimize staffing and scheduling to maximize efficiency. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and performance feedback is essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of leadership experience in a production environment, preferably plastics.
Combined experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety of all shift employees by inspecting the floor and addressing hazards.
Complete incident reports promptly and conduct preliminary investigations on safety incidents.
Oversee required safety training topics.
Set shift production goals aligned with plant goals and ensure attainment by the team.
Monitor product quality through communication with Quality team.
Develop and evaluate shift staff; conduct performance appraisals and address issues.
Prepare staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage for all machines.
Optimize production scheduling and labor utilization for efficiency.
Motivate and coach employees with frequent feedback and development plans.
Identify additional training needs and delegate tasks appropriately.
Ensure machines run according to production and process specs.
