Job summary

Garrett Container in Accident, MD is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations on an assigned shift. You will supervise production staff, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement across the line.

The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and collaboration with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR to resolve issues and optimize production flow. Onsite position with two shifts and standard hours.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing or operations with full site or business responsibility.
• Proven profit and loss ownership with strong financial and cost-control acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production team to achieve daily safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Plan and coordinate daily work assignments, staffing, and production priorities.
• Monitor production performance and address issues that impact output, quality, or schedule.
• Ensure teammates follow company policies, safety requirements, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Lead and develop Team Leaders and production team through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve operational issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and improve production flow.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety, quality, and production issues.
• Monitor key performance indicators and communicate shift results, issues, and priorities to management.
• Manage attendance, performance, and employee relations matters in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure accurate production documentation, reporting, and shift handoffs.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Escalate significant safety, quality, staffing, equipment, or production issues to appropriate leadership.
• Support special projects and operational initiatives.
• Participate in corporate initiatives and cross-site collaboration.
