Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee parts assembly, coordinate floor activities, and ensure quality conformance. You will prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet schedules and procedures.

The role requires LEAN and quality process understanding, troubleshooting, and strong MS Office skills to manage records and reports. Candidates should have a related Associates degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3 years required of supervisory experience in plant and manufacturing environment.
• 3 years required of quality and LEAN process understanding and ability to implement.
• Reasoning ability - solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Mathematical skills - understanding of numbers, ratios and percentages.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Studies production schedules and estimates worker/labor requirements to complete job assignment.
• Interprets specifications, drawings/blue prints, and job orders.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Resolves manufacturing issues and assists workers in work problems.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials.
• Enforces company policies and safety regulations.
• Confers with Sales and Purchasing regarding lead time, delivery, and BOMs.
• Reviews and monitors workers’ performance and attendance.
