Job summary

Ward Leonard is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and efficient resource use. You will drive continuous improvement, collaborate with Engineering, and maintain accurate ERP data to support production schedules and budgets.

The role requires strong organizational skills, hands-on ERP experience, and a commitment to safe, clean, and productive work environments on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school with 5+ years in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, resource management, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP systems for scheduling and capacity planning.
• Ability to interpret engineering/manufacturing documents (BOMs, Routers, ECNs).
• Experience maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations to ensure quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement including morale, discipline, environmental compliance, cleanliness, and cross-training.
• Identify and resolve capacity constraints using ERP, scheduling tools, and capacity analysis.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to complete work orders on time.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to review Routers, BOMs, and ECNs.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of manufacturing data entry and reporting.
• Maintain and improve ERP functionality; provide feedback on scheduling and resource management.
• Support preventative maintenance, address mechanical issues, and resolve using the DLA process.
• Ensure consumables are ordered and on-hand for production team members.
• Oversee material handling with planning to ensure adequate resources for production.
• Conduct interviews, performance appraisals, and training on ERP systems and policies.
• Monitor Dayforce for direct employees daily.
• Participate in departmental budget preparation including salary administration.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards.
• Represent the Department on Continuous Improvement Task Teams and support initiatives.
