Job summary

Tenneco Inc. Kansas City facility is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement.

This role partners with cross-functional teams to achieve plant goals and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires 2–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, a relevant degree, and strong knowledge of TPM/Lean.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience with previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, TPM, and Lean principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred).
• Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Coach, develop, and support employees through performance feedback, training, and accountability.
• Monitor operational metrics including downtime, scrap, efficiency, and staffing to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies and procedures.
• Partner with HR, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support plant objectives.
