Job summary

Tenneco in the United States is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Kansas City facility to lead manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while engaging the workforce.

You will partner with HR, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to support plant objectives and continuous improvement; a background in Lean, TPM, and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience with previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, TPM, and Lean principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred).
• Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Coach, develop, and support employees through performance feedback, training, and accountability.
• Monitor operational metrics including downtime, scrap, efficiency, and staffing to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies and procedures.
• Partner with HR, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support plant objectives.

About our Location:

Our Kansas City facility is a key Clean Air manufacturing site supporting one of our major automotive customers. With a strong production workforce across multiple shifts, the plant focuses on safety, quality, and lean manufacturing practices to deliver high-performance products. The site offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on accountability, leadership development, and operational excellence.

About the Position:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading manufacturing operations within the assigned department while driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
