Job summary

Ken Garner Manufacturing Co is seeking a Production Supervisor in Rural Hall, NC. The role focuses on directing production activities including welding, painting, sandblasting, and body repair, while ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met.

Light customer contact and inter-location coordination are part of the role. Qualified candidates should have prior manufacturing leadership, plus hands-on welding and paint experience.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of welding, and paint and body repair techniques.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of 5s, Lean Manufacturing, Process Flow, and ISO 9001:2008. Previous training in these areas is preferred
• Must exhibit good time management and problem solving skills. Previous training in these areas is preferred
• Must have strong organizational and decision making skills, and be hands on whenever needed
• Occasional travel to other KGM locations may be required (about 3-4 times per year)
• Excellent email and telecommunication skills
• English is our primary language, but extra consideration will be given to those who speak fluent Spanish

Responsibilities

• Directs production of concrete filling, welding, sandblasting, body repair, painting, inspection and shipping.
• Ensures Safety, Quality and Production requirements are met.
• Production Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager of this location.
• Occasionally has contact with customers and other KGM locations.
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed to meet production demand
