Job summary

FPC Franchise production operations are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a metal fabrication and assembly plant. The role oversees team leads and frontline staff, driving labor efficiency and on-time delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, strong Lean knowledge, and a bias toward coaching and front-line leadership. Second shift with overtime Fridays provides opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Metal fabrication experience preferred; leadership skills prioritized over product experience.

• Coach and lead from the front to build a high-performing workforce.
• Second shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM; Friday overtime with a rotational schedule for supervisors.

Job description

The Production Supervisor provides leadership and coordination for assigned production areas, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to safety and quality standards, and alignment with Lean manufacturing principles. This role supervises team leads and front-line employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise team leads and production employees (~25 employees) in a metal fabrication/assembly plant, including fabrication/welding, coating, assembly, and shipping
• Drive labor efficiency and productivity performance to meet on-time delivery commitments
• Build a high-performing workforce through coaching and a “lead from the front” leadership approach
• Second shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
• Friday serves as an overtime day, typically running three Fridays per month with a rotational schedule for supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Lean manufacturing knowledge
• Metal fabrication experience strongly preferred, although leadership skills are more important than specific product experience

COMPENSATION

• $36–$44/hour, based on experience
• 5–8% discretionary bonus
• Candidates with Lean training may have the potential to come in at the top of or above the stated range
