Silgan Closures in Evansville, IN is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a union workforce and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality metal closures production. You will guide daily operations and work with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to hit targets.

The role requires strong leadership, experience supervising in a union setting, and a commitment to safety, lean practices, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, or related field preferred.
• Experience supervising union workers in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise union employees in a production manufacturing operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, food safety regulations, and quality management standards.
• Apply SOPs, SPC, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
• Manage production flow, equipment performance, and staffing to meet targets.
• Track productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and KPIs.
• Maintain labor agreement compliance while assigning work and managing attendance.
• Communicate across shifts with maintenance, quality, engineering, and operations teams.
