Job summary

Wilsonart LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage a technical and hourly workforce to meet plant objectives. You will drive process improvements, control costs, and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained while coordinating with maintenance, sales, and purchasing to optimize production capacity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and to achieve results through others.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to establish process controls to achieve quality and lead time requirements.
• Experience driving Lean Manufacturing or similar process improvement programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production activities through Team Leaders, leveraging product/process knowledge and equipment capabilities.
• Lead regular team meetings to communicate company and department information.
• Set production capacity and update changes weekly.
• Collaborate with management to establish production and quality standards and gather data on quantities and delivery dates.
• Develop department metrics to minimize quality issues and reduce total production costs.
• Implement programs to improve yield, throughput, and on-time delivery to customers.
• Coordinate with maintenance, sales, customer service, materials management, and purchasing for optimal resource utilization.
• Adjust manpower according to operating changes and identify productivity opportunities.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance and maintain proper records.
