Job summary

Wilsonart, based in Temple, TX, seeks a Process Engineer – Manufacturing Improvement to drive plant performance through structured problem solving, standard work, and Lean practices. You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance and Operations to identify opportunities, lead root‑cause investigations, and implement sustainable improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve process issues affecting quality, cost, efficiency, yield, downtime, and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead structured problem‑solving activities (RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, A3).
• Support validations, trials, material evaluations, and supplier qualifications.
• Walk the production floor to drive issue resolution at the source.
• Coach operators and supervisors on problem solving, standard work, and visual controls.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and standard work.
