Job summary

MAHLE Dayton is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of the assigned presses and work areas, driving output and a culture of excellence under the Operations Manager. You will supervise Production Associates, Coordinators, and related roles, while ensuring safety and compliance with QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001.

The role requires a Technical Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) with 5+ years in manufacturing, including 3+ years in supervision, strong math skills,

Qualifications

• Technical Associate's Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of industrial experience with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing processes required.
• Strong mathematical skills
• Familiarity with Metric system and tight tolerances (0.01mm).
• Personal computer skills in MS Office a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Production Associates as well as Coordinators, Rack & Relief and Job Setters.
• Build and maintain a culture of Safety being Priority #1.
• Meet or beat the Daily Productivity / Labor Efficiency % Goal of 92%.
• Meet the Daily Attainment and Scrap Goals for IM Department.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all established safety guidelines, ensuring conformance with OSHA.
• Make certain, the production area and personnel are adhering to QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Initiate actions/ escalation along the value stream, when problems arise regarding safety, quality (Q-stop), equipment, materials, and maintenance. Follow escalation process accordingly.
• Support training initiatives.
