Job summary

MAHLE Thermal and Filter Systems Dayton is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in the Dayton facility. You will coach and counsel a team of Production Associates, Coordinators, and support staff to maximize safety, quality, and productivity while upholding QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.

The role emphasizes leadership and continuous improvement. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential as you escalate issues and drive training

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of industrial experience with at least three years in supervision in manufacturing.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Familiarity with the metric system and tight tolerances (0.01mm).

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Production Associates as well as Coordinators, Rack & Relief and Job Setters.
• Build and maintain a culture of Safety being Priority #1.
• Meet the Daily Productivity / Labor Efficiency % Goal of 92%.
• Meet the Daily Attainment and Scrap Goals for IM Department.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all established safety guidelines, ensuring conformance with OSHA.
• Make certain, the production area and personnel are adhering to QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Initiate actions/ escalation along the value stream, when problems arise regarding safety, quality (Q-stop), equipment, materials, and maintenance.
• Follow escalation process accordingly.
• Support training initiatives.

Your Contribution

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management, counseling, disciplining, and coaching of personnel within assigned area. This includes driving the output and activities of the assigned Presses and work areas as well as other priorities as set forth by the Operations Manager. Assume organizational responsibility for production staff and implement a culture of excellence (visible leadership).

• Manage a team of Production Associates as well as Coordinators, Rack & Relief and Job Setters.
• Build and maintain a culture of Safety being Priority #1.
• Meet or beat the Daily Productivity / Labor Efficiency % Goal of 92%.

Your Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Associate's Degree, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of industrial experience with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing processes required.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Familiarity with Metric system and tight tolerances (0.01mm).
• Personal computer skills in MS Office a plus.
