Job Summary: Supervises production operations within an assigned area or during an assigned shift.

Job Duties:

  1. Supervises workers operating production machinery, assembling items, performing quality control, or packaging goods for shipment.
  2. Notifies maintenance or engineering departments when equipment requires maintenance or repair.
  3. Monitors output of assigned area(s) against established schedules or quality goals.
  4. Coordinates workflow through the department, ensuring sufficient inventory levels to meet demand and appropriate staffing.
  5. Provides training and guidance to new employees.

Experience and Education:

  • Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees, supervising Level I supervisors.
  • Level I supervisors typically have limited authority over personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and spend much of their time performing tasks similar to subordinate employees.

Attributes:
