Voyager Technologies in Minden, LA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our black powder facility. The role focuses on safety, training, and achieving production schedules while upholding quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and the ability to obtain explosives licenses. This onsite position emphasizes building a capable, continuously improving team in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate production equipment as needed.
• Eligibility to obtain state/federal explosives licenses.
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with hazards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day production operations and activities, organize labor, assign tasks, and drive output to meet schedule.
• Enforce safe work practices by ensuring SOPs, PPE, and handling requirements.
• Provide hands-on training and daily coaching to production employees.
• Ensure operators have tools, materials, PPE, and equipment.
• Monitor production activities, troubleshoot issues, and escalate concerns.
• Lead shift-level communications on daily expectations and changes to instructions.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
• Promote cross training for a flexible workforce.
• Drive continuous improvement and 5S/kaizen initiatives.
