Voyager Technologies, Inc., onsite in Minden, LA, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our black powder manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, training and performance meet schedules and quality standards.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on manufacturing experience with strong leadership to drive a safe, efficient, and continuously improving production environment, while coaching staff and supporting 5S/kaizen initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operations to meet the production schedule.
• Enforce safe work practices and compliance with SOPs, PPE and handling requirements.
• Provide hands-on training and daily coaching on processes and equipment.
• Ensure operators have tools, materials, PPE and equipment needed.
• Monitor activities in real time, troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead shift-level communication about expectations and goals.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
• Support 5S/kaizen initiatives and root-cause investigations.

The Production Supervisor will be located onsite in Minden, LA and reports through to the Plant Superintendent. This role leads day to day operations at Voyager's black powder manufacturing facility, overseeing the safety, training, and performance of hourly production employees while ensuring schedules and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate pairs hands‑on manufacturing experience with strong leadership skills to drive a safe, efficient, and continuously improving production environment.

In this role, the essential functions are

• Lead day to day production operations and activities, organizing labor, assigning tasks, and driving output to meet key performance indicator and the production schedule.
• Enforce safe work practices by ensuring team compliance with standard operating procedures and all safety, PPE, and material handling requirements.
• Provide hands on training and daily coaching to production employees on processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements.
• Ensure operators have the tools, materials, PPE, and equipment needed to safely and efficiently perform their work each day.
• Monitor production activities in real time, troubleshooting issues, resolving problems, and escalating larger or systemic concerns to the Plant Superintendent.
• Lead shift-level communication, ensuring employees understand daily expectations, production goals, and any changes to work instructions.
• Conduct performance reviews, support employee development, and promote cross training to maintain a flexible, capable workforce.
• Drive continuous improvement and compliance by supporting 5S/kaizen initiatives and participating in root‑cause investigations and corrective actions.
