Production Supervisor - 12-Hour Day Shift | Every Other Weekend Off

Salaried Position | Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | 2-2-3 Rotation | Every Other Weekend Off

Manufacturing Doesn't Always Go According to Plan. Great Leaders Know What to Do Next.

At MFT-CKF, we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor who knows how to keep production moving—even when the day doesn't go as planned.

Staffing challenges happen. Equipment goes down. Production priorities shift. Unexpected issues arise, sometimes all at once.

We need a leader who can assess the situation, make decisions, adjust priorities, and keep their team focused on delivering results without compromising safety or quality.

This is not an entry-level supervisory opportunity. We’re seeking a seasoned manufacturing professional with demonstrated leadership experience, sound judgment, and a proven ability to manage people, processes, and production in a fast-paced environment.

We have established processes, expectations, and operational goals. What we’re looking for is someone who can effectively execute within that framework while recognizing opportunities to improve how we operate.

We’re not expecting you to have every answer. We are expecting you to have the experience, confidence, resourcefulness, and initiative to find solutions and keep moving forward.

Who We Are

MFT-CKF, Inc. manufactures environmentally responsible molded fiber packaging made from 100% recycled materials. Our products provide protective packaging solutions for a variety of industries.

Our success depends on safe operations, consistent product quality, reliable production, and the people who make it happen.

Our workforce includes employees from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and languages. We value leaders who can connect with people, establish clear expectations, build accountability, and create an environment where employees are respected and supported.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading the people and daily operations of your assigned shift, ensuring production objectives are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and employee development.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a consistent presence on the production floor, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the confidence to make timely decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Keep production moving. Coordinate staffing, equipment, materials, and workflow to meet production schedules and customer expectations. Adjust quickly when unexpected challenges arise.
  • Lead from the floor. Maintain an active presence in production, engage with employees, understand what’s happening throughout your shift, and address issues as they arise.
  • Make decisions with confidence. Assess situations, troubleshoot problems, prioritize competing demands, and take appropriate action without waiting for constant direction.
  • Take ownership of results. Monitor production output, downtime, scrap, throughput, and other performance measures. Identify shortfalls early and implement solutions.
  • Drive safety and quality. Reinforce safe work practices, address unsafe conditions, maintain product quality expectations, and support corrective actions and training.
  • Lead and develop employees. Coach, train, mentor, and support Team Leads and production employees while identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Establish accountability. Communicate expectations clearly, address attendance and performance concerns, provide feedback, and consistently follow through.
  • Build and maintain morale. Foster a respectful, productive work environment where employees understand their responsibilities and feel valued for their contributions.
  • Communicate across language barriers. Work effectively with employees from different cultural and language backgrounds. You aren’t expected to speak every language, but you must be willing to use translation resources, adapt your communication, and ensure expectations are understood.
  • Manage multiple priorities. Balance production demands, staffing challenges, employee concerns, equipment issues, and operational needs while remaining focused and organized.
  • Drive continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to improve products, processes, workflow, equipment utilization, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Work across departments. Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, People & Culture, and plant leadership to resolve issues and support operational goals.
  • Follow through. Take responsibility for seeing issues, commitments, and improvement initiatives through to completion.
What Sets the Right Leader Apart?

We’re looking for more than someone who has held a supervisory title. We want someone who has demonstrated the ability to lead, make decisions, develop people, and deliver results.

The right person:

  • Stays composed and solution-focused when things don’t go according to plan.
  • Recognizes what needs attention and takes initiative before being asked.
  • Makes sound decisions and knows when to involve others.
  • Understands how to balance production expectations with employee needs.
  • Holds employees accountable while maintaining respect and morale.
  • Can have difficult conversations professionally and consistently.
  • Adapts quickly when staffing, equipment, or production priorities change.
  • Knows how to prioritize what’s important rather than simply reacting to everything happening around them.
  • Doesn’t walk past problems or assume someone else will handle them.
  • Takes pride in developing employees and strengthening team performance.
  • Looks for opportunities to add value and improve existing processes.
  • Follows through on commitments and takes ownership of outcomes.

We don’t expect you to prevent every problem. We expect you to recognize challenges early, respond effectively, communicate clearly, and take ownership of the outcome.

Your Schedule

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Our production team operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, providing:

  • A consistent two-week rotation
  • Every other weekend off
  • Scheduled days off during the workweek

This is a hands-on manufacturing leadership position that requires significant time on the production floor.

The position involves standing, walking, interacting with employees, working around industrial equipment, and responding to changing production demands.

The manufacturing environment may include noise, moving machinery, heat, and other typical industrial conditions. Required personal protective equipment includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.

The position may require frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting or pushing of up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Ready to Lead and Make an Impact?

We’re not looking for someone to simply oversee a shift or maintain the status quo.

We’re looking for a proven manufacturing leader who can handle challenges, take initiative, drive results, develop people, and continuously look for ways to make our operations & our people better.

MFT-CKF, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives that contribute to our workplace.
