Job summary

Clover Sonoma in Petaluma, California, is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate and direct our dairy production operations. You will oversee costs, methods, operations, quality and production efficiency while ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations.

This role leads all plant departments to meet sales objectives at maximum efficiency and minimum cost; you will train, coach, and evaluate staff and drive continuous improvement in materials, machines, and people.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience leading, motivating and training employees.
• Ability to supervise others in GMP standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in dairy or food production preferred.
• Warehouse experience a plus.
• Union experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct production activities to meet sales objectives at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
• Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate employees, monitor performance.
• Develop action plans for continuous improvement, including efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Review production costs and product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation.
• Develop ideas to improve overall plant performance.
• Promote employee safety.
• Ensure housekeeping in the work area is maintained or improved.
• Execute duties per Clover’s Food Safety and Quality programs and policies.
