Job Title: Production Supervisor – CNC Machine Shop / Contract Manufacturer

Location: Quakertown, PA

Located in the greater Quakertown, PA area, Millennium is owned by the Bracalente Manufacturing Group (BMG), which was founded in 1950. BMG is an innovative leader in the production of precision machined parts and assemblies, and is a family-owned and operated contract manufacturing solutions provider with a global footprint.

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our CNC machine shop operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and a proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:
   Oversee daily operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective production.
   Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize workflow.
2. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement:
   Champion lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
   Utilize methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
3. Team Management:
   Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled machinists and support staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
   Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
4. Quality Assurance:
   Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
   Collaborate with quality control teams to implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes.
5. Safety & Compliance:
   Uphold all health and safety regulations, creating a safe and positive work environment for all staff.
   Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
6. Resource Management:
   Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
   Oversee maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within a CNC machine shop or manufacturing environment.
3. Proven experience implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and productivity.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. Proficiency in production planning software and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems – JobBOSS.
7. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations within a machining environment.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Familiarity with plant maintenance and TPM for critical machines.
10. Must be a US citizen for ITAR purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certifications in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
2. Experience with CNC programming and machining techniques.
3. Familiarity with ISO quality management systems.
