Job summary

Ques Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for Blending & Packaging in Brook Park, Ohio.

You will plan, schedule, and coordinate blending and packaging to meet customer orders and inventory needs, working closely with production, inventory, customer service, logistics and maintenance. Qualifications

  • 3+ years in production planning or scheduling in manufacturing; chemical blending & manufacturing is a requirement.
  • Experience supervising 10+ hourly employees in a chemical blending environment.
  • Familiarity with blending and packaging processes, equipment, and workflows.
  • Knowledge of handling Hazardous Materials and related DOT shipping requirements.
  • OSHA requirements for manufacturing in a hazardous chemical environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for blending and packaging operations based on sales orders, inventory levels, and capacity.
  • Manage and supervise employees in all day-to-day activities related to manufacturing and shipping of Hazardous Materials.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Coordinate with customer service, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging components.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, supply delays, equipment downtime, or labor availability.
  • Track and report KPIs such as schedule adherence, throughput, and capacity utilization.
  • Ensure accurate system transactions for production orders, inventory movements, and work order closures in the ERP system.
  • Communicate production plans and changes to supervisors and team leads across shifts.
  • Assist with forecasting material usage and production labor needs.
  • Investigate and resolve production variances, delays, or material shortages in real time.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling, efficiency, and process flow.
  • Participate in interviewing, evaluating potential new employees.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely employee counseling records for direct reports.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor for Blending & Packaging is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all blending and packaging activities to ensure timely and efficient production in line with customer orders and inventory requirements. This role is critical between production, inventory, customer service, logistics and maintenance, ensuring that raw materials, labor, and equipment are properly aligned with the production schedule.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment; chemical blending and manufacturing is a requirement.
  • Familiarity with blending and packaging processes, equipment, and workflows.
  • Good working knowledge with Handling of Hazardous Materials.
  • Good working knowledge of DOT shipping requirements including Hazardous materials.
  • Good working knowledge of all OSHA requirements related to manufacturing operations in a Hazardous Chemical environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience with direct Supervision of 10+ Hourly employees in a Chemical Blending environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes in a dynamic production environment.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Experience with warehouse management, inventory maintenance and cycle counting.
Work Environment
  • Combination of office and production floor environment.
  • Exposure to chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, and odors; PPE required when in production areas.
  • May require extended hours or oncall availability depending on plant needs.
