Job summary

ProActive Solutions USA, LLC in Savage, MN, is seeking a production associate to support finishing and packaging of products. You will follow GMP-like procedures, gather materials, take QC samples, and ensure safety and quality throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures and guidelines to produce high-quality products.
  • Gather raw materials and mix batches as scheduled.
  • Take samples to Quality Control for approval.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and complete housekeeping.
  • Assist in loading/unloading and handling materials.
  • Maintain safety around chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Support maintenance and keep the area clean and organized.
  • Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as required.
  • Assist with inventory and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • May work evenings or weekends as needed.

Job description

Description
Position Purpose

Responsible for the accurate and efficient production of finished products. All necessary guidelines must be followed while producing the highest quality products. Ensure that we meet/exceed customer expectations for timely delivery of quality product utilizing business practices that are in full compliance with any state or federal requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Follow all procedures and guidelines while manufacturing products to the highest quality standards
  • Gather raw materials and mix batches as per schedule and mix instructions
  • Take product and material samples to Quality Control for approval
  • Ensure all mixed/filled products meets ProActive quality standards
  • Assist in loading and unloading of raw materials, finished goods, and other freight that is delivered from vendors
  • Responsible for taking every safety precaution when manufacturing chemicals or handling hazardous materials
  • Makes sure all effluent leaving the plant is properly treated before discharge
  • Assist in performing general preventative maintenance on equipment including general housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment and work
  • Applies all necessary labels and stenciling to appropriate packages and containers
  • Proficient skills to operate pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Processes at all times
  • Assist in taking physical inventory when necessary
  • Responsible for Continuous Improvement in all aspects of production
  • May be required to occasionally work evening and weekend hours as needed to ensure proper completion of duties
  • All other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of production experience or similar
Skills
  • Knowledge of safe work practices
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attentive and timely in responses
  • Good follow up and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously without getting flustered
  • Collaborative and cooperative work style internally and externally with a "can do" attitude
  • Excellent problem solver who sees solutions instead of obstacles
  • Familiarity with MS Office software and strong computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent attendance record

Physical Requirements
  • Able to walk regularly around the production floor and office areas, including climbing steps and also occasionally climbing on a ladder
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to bend, squat, sit and stand
  • Able to sit in office chair working on written assignments and operate a computer
