MEPPI's High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift to lead the assembly and testing of critical power products. This role is key to ensuring high standards in quality, safety, and productivity, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. You’ll guide a dedicated team through complex production processes and help shape the future of reliable energy systems.
What You’ll Do:
Lead with Purpose:
Supervise 3rd shift production teams in the assembly and testing of HVSD products, ensuring safe operations, high quality, and timely output in accordance with company policies and customer specifications.
Drive Workforce Excellence:
Prepare weekly schedules and daily assignments aligned to production needs. Train and cross-train technicians, encourage continuous learning, and support employee growth.
Keep Things Running Smoothly:
Manage workflow, monitor material movement, and maintain clear communication with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless production transitions.
Champion Safety:
Promote a strong safety culture through regular safety meetings, investigations, and compliance checks. Respond swiftly to incidents and reinforce safe work practices.
Ensure Product Quality:
Support a culture of quality by enforcing standards, overseeing inspections, and maintaining documentation such as quality check sheets and corrective actions.
Build a Positive Culture:
Maintain strong employee relations, resolve conflicts with fairness, and support team morale through consistent communication and coaching.
Stay Organized:
Track attendance, vacation, performance, disciplinary actions, and safety metrics. Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
Contribute to Hiring:
Participate in interviews and assessments for new hires and temporary staff to help build a high-performing team.
What You Bring:
Education:
Associate’s Degree in a technical or business field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or electronics industries.
