ABB in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee a shift-based crew, transforming parts and materials into ABB products. The role focuses on safety, process improvement, and workforce development, reporting to the Production Manager.
The position is a third-shift, onsite role with responsibilities including payroll oversight, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production line.

Production Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.
This position will be required to work an in-person schedule in the Ormond Beach, FL manufacturing facility. #LI-Onsite
Champion a strong safety culture by actively promoting safe behaviors, supporting safety systems improvement, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards across all shifts.
Drive daily structured engagement with all team members across shifts to surface process improvement ideas, fostering a participative and inclusive production environment.
Support, empower, and develop team members by identifying growth opportunities and promoting a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning.
Oversee accurate payroll processing, conduct performance reviews, and lead operational audits and standard operating task (SOT) reviews to maintain and elevate team performance.
Build a solid understanding of machine processes to identify and lead improvement initiatives within the production area.
High School diploma/GED with at least 6 years of manufacturing experience;orAssociate's degree with at least 4 years;orBachelor's degree with at least 2 years - engineering or technical degree preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a people leadership role, with a genuine commitment to team member growth, development, and empowerment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels; fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Computer literacy required - ability to develop, analyze, and present data using standard computer tools.
Must hold valid work authorization to work for ABB in the United States.
Knowledge of molding and/or machining processes.
HSE-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to workplace safety.
Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and tools.
Intermediate Spanish proficiency - beneficial for cross-team communication in diverse environments.
