POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising production department which includes; processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping in order to meet production quality and quantity standards on each shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs the activities of production employees, including but not limited to hiring, motivating, training and performance management. Monitors production levels and reports promptly to managers, production planning and maintenance when delays occur. Estimate time of delay when production will resume. Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed in all areas of production. Maintains the established schedule by coordinating movement of parts through production process working with supply chain to set weekly capacity based on equipment availability, manpower and raw materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline. 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing using the English language Specific know-how: Lean methodologies, concepts, practices and procedures understanding. Competencies include: result orientation, taking initiative, intercultural behavior, developing others, effective communication, managing performance, organizing and planning

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is located in a manufacturing environment, exposing the incumbent to machines with movable parts, heat, chemicals, and consequently requires that personal protective equipment be worn. The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
