Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a dedicated operator to manage up to three machines, adjust process settings, and document performance. You will set up spectrophotometer equipment, perform tests, and communicate results to internal customers.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety, quality standards, and efficient cycle times. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and experience in more than one production process, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills to support

Qualifications

  • Trained in more than one production process to support varied tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to efficient production cycle times and determine operation sequence.
  • Perform machine adjustments and replace tooling as required.
  • Deliver completed work to the next station and maintain safe, clean work areas.
  • Set up spectrophotometer and other equipment per instructions.
  • Conduct spectral, metrology or environmental tests as instructed.
  • Enter test results into computer database and provide data to internal customers.
  • Evaluate data against specifications and mark discrepant parts.
  • Perform adhesion, abrasion and humidity tests; conduct cosmetic evaluations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following; all other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to efficient production cycle times
  • Determines operation sequence of up to three machines; select programs, adjust speeds, feeds, depths, etc.
  • Performs machine adjustments as specified in production orders; replace dull or damaged tooling as required.
  • Provides shaped substrates within process capabilities; inspect and document when process yields fall outside process capabilities.
  • Makes standard configuration changes
  • Delivers completed work to next operational station
  • Maintains work areas and equipment as clean, stocked, operational and in safe condition
  • Sets up spectrophotometer & other equipment per instructions.
  • Performs spectral, Metrology or environmental tests using spectrophotometer or other equipment per instructions.
  • Provides accurate test data to appropriate internal customers.
  • Evaluates data against specifications on work-order and, Mark off discrepant parts/areas.
  • Enters test results into computer database per instructions.
  • Perform adhesion, abrasion, humidity tests
  • Perform cosmetic evaluations

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
