Job summary

Materion is seeking a Stamper to operate stamping machines under the direction of the Production Supervisor. The role includes inspecting first pieces, end runs, and ensuring tooling compliance to customer requirements in a safe stamping environment.

Required are a high school diploma, ability to use inspection equipment, and basic manufacturing experience. The position is salary-based and located in our Buffalo, NY facility with standard shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to use measuring equipment for first piece and end-run inspections.
  • Mechanically inclined to understand stamping machine and die operations.
  • General Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for first piece inspection to ensure that the parts meet the customer specifications.
  • Responsible for end run inspection of parts to ensure produced parts meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all stamping machines and tools used in the stamping areas.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to use all measuring equipment needed for first piece and end-run inspections.
  • Must be mechanically inclined to understand the fundamentals of stamping machine and die operations.
  • General Manufacturing experience preferred.

Pay Range: $20.50 - $30.00 Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
