Job summary

Custom Marine, Inc. is hiring a Supervisor on our 3rd Shift to lead production personnel, coordinate shift activities, and maintain a safe, efficient operation in Neenah, Wisconsin.

You will train new hires, manage downtime and logs, ensure quality and timeliness, and report to the Plant Manager on special projects, with a hands-on leadership style that empowers the team to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience; 3+ years supervisory.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under time constraints and prioritize.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership of hourly operators.

Responsibilities

• First line of responsibility for production personnel; coordinate time and contact for personnel issues.
• Maintain shift-to-shift communication.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow safety instructions.
• Oversee safety, quality, cost, and delivery of the shift.
• Understand production processes.
• Ensure new employees are trained to safety standards.
• Manage cross-training across shift.
• Conduct regular team meetings with safety topics.
• Support Plant Manager on special projects.
• Complete daily reports and logs.
• Ensure work is performed with quality and timeliness.
• Record downtime, scrap, and measure team efficiency.
• Review production schedules and coordinate activities to meet specs.
• Duties related to time and attendance system.
• Direct supervision of production personnel.
• Disciplinary actions and evaluations.
• Troubleshoot machines and tooling issues.
• Lead by example with hands-on leadership.
• Provide a positive team environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment. As least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle and prioritize responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Team -oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability as a leader of hourly operators.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Associate degree or technical school preferred.
