Job Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the employees under their scope are following all safety and organizational process and procedures, performing well on the job, and receiving the appropriate feedback to drive continuous improvement. The Supervisor will organize, plan, and delegate tasks to their team accordingly, while setting targets and providing guidance where necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements, address production challenges, and communicate issues to managers.
  • Partner with production department in managing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their responsibilities and delegated tasks.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines.
  • Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Receive, track, and resolve complaints from employees.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
  • Provide information, instruction, and supervision on health and safety to protect employees.
  • Carry and enforce ABC workplace safety guidelines.
  • Apply first aid treatment to an injured employee immediately and seek out medical assistance.
  • Ensure that all team members in the production area have the proper PPE and are working safely.
  • Complete accident and first aid reports and turn into HR in a timely manner.
  • Development of employees.
  • Listen to employees' problems and concerns when they arise and seek a prompt mutually acceptable resolution.
  • Make recommendations about discipline and discharge.
  • Report all unallocated labor daily.
  • Inform new employees of company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Oversee progress of training, ensuring that employees meet job standard.
  • When a probationary employee does not meet the job standard, discuss with HR and Manager the necessary steps for termination or discipline of the employee.
  • Giving performance reviews.
  • Ensure all finished products meets established quality specifications.
  • Review daily shift production report.
  • Discuss and advise Team Leaders of the daily production requirements and relay any special instructions.
  • Ensure work instructions are followed.
  • Cooperate, participate, and lead corrective actions.
  • Assist HR with tracking employee attendance, overtime, and scheduling.
  • Contribute to a work environment free from harassment, where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are standard.
  • Adhere to the quality policy and environmental policy.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership/supervisory role, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Ability to use basic computer applications and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Plastic Moulding preferred. ABC Technologies and all subsidiaries is an EEO/EOE employer.
