This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of all production activities. The Production Supervisor coordinates all daily production requirements, including line staffing, schedule attainment, training, report auditing, process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for all production issues, as well as other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensures all quality and safety expectations are being met on the production floor
- Audits and edits production reports daily
- Collaborate with the scheduling team to ensure lines are scheduled optimally
- Uses efficiency boards on processing and blending lines to measure hourly line efficiencies daily
- Monitors production reporting for accuracy, identifies underperforming areas, and puts corrective actions in place
- Tracks daily KPIs – safety, quality, attainment of schedule, adherence to schedule, labor, and efficiencies
- Communication with other departments regarding relevant production issues
- Assist with troubleshooting of all line equipment, ensuring line employees are trained to complete set-up and minor adjustments to equipment
- Maintains safe and efficient operation in production areas and warehouses
- Training of all production employees
- Participates in all physical inventories
- Ensures all GMPs and food safety guidelines are being followed
- Motivates employees to achieve production goals and promotes a team-oriented environment
- Ensures all employees are adequately trained to operate equipment safely and that all safety procedures are being followed
- Supervision of all shipping and receiving functions
- Completes weekly safety audits of production areas and warehouses
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- College Degree referred
- Minimum 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a production or food manufacturing environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable
- Experience taking physical inventory is desirable
Skills/Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of process improvement methods
- Strong supervisory skills
- Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve departmental goals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees
- Proficiency with Word and Excel

- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and frequently bend and move about the facility
- Frequently required to lift up to 55 pounds (anything over 55 lbs, team lift)

This position's performance requires exposure to the manufacturing and warehouse areas that may require personal protective equipment under certain conditions.

We offer a competitive compensation package with benefits. The hourly rate for this role will be $73,000 to $85,000. This position is eligible for an annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions). Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferable skills, the company will determine, at its discretion, the hourly rate offered and will reflect the market conditions and cost of living for your geographic location.
