Job Purpose

Produces chips and salsas by supervising production operators; monitoring production levels; recommending adjustments to process setting; supervising staff.

Duties

• Leads by example to ensure all GMP and Food Safety procedures are followed.
• Accomplishes production priorities by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Meets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying process improvements.
• Meets production financial standards by controlling and minimizing production expenses.
• Maintains product production by observing process volumes; recommending process adjustments.
• Records production by completing daily shift production reports; calculating yields and recoveries.
• Maintains flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements, and problems to next shift.
• Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness throughout the shift, with a focus on shutdown sanitation.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Completes related results as needed to accomplish manufacturing and organizational goals.
