Job summary

Kinetic Engine Systems is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Southwick, MA. You will lead a production team, oversee assembly and machining activities, and ensure quality standards to meet production goals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (degree preferred), CNC proficiency, and prior leadership experience in manufacturing. You will plan schedules, mentor staff, and collaborate with engineering and quality control to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety culture and wear PPE when required.
  • Set up machines and equipment and perform direct labor as needed.
  • Encourage collaboration and foster a team environment with servant leadership.
  • Plan and coordinate production activities and set priorities for products.
  • Develop and maintain organization through hiring, performance management, and training.
  • Recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures.
  • Supervise payroll, overtime, and PTO for employees.
  • Develop methods to eliminate problems and improve product quality.
  • Revise schedules and priorities to meet customer needs.
  • Consult with engineering on work orders and prints.
  • Recruit engineering help for solving manufacturing design issues.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Assist Quality Control with issues and accountability for results.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Ensure equipment and production meet quality standards and take corrective action.
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Respond to incidents promptly and report to management.
  • Follow 6S and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Salary Range: $36.00 To $44.00 Annually

Job Position Summary: You will be responsible for leading a team and oversee daily operations, to include coordination of production and assembly of our products within acceptable quality standards to meet productions goals.

  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, attendance, and disciplinary measures.
  • Directly supervise employees to include payroll, overtime hours, and PTO.
  • Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Revise production schedules and priorities to best meet customer needs.
  • Consult with engineering personnel regarding modifications of work orders and prints.
  • Recruit engineering assistance in problem solving regarding manufacturing design of tools and/or methods to improve production and quality of products.
  • Assist, set up and monitor the training of new employees.
  • Assist Quality Control with the determination of quality control issues and remain accountable for results.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Ensure equipment operation and production meets quality control standards by monitoring throughout the shift, and takes corrective action immediately as needed.
  • Enforce safety regulations and procedures ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Respond to building or employee incidents or accidents promptly and appropriately, and reports to management as the situation warrants.
  • Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
Working Conditions
  • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
  • May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities
Physical Requirements
  • Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
