Kinetic Engine Systems in Westfield, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist - Milling for a full-time direct role. You will set up and run CNC milling operations, inspect parts for close tolerances, and adjust processes to ensure quality parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various metals and alloys to optimize speeds and feeds.
• Basic computer skills.
• The ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• The ability to do basic set ups on 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
• The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and operation sheets.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• The ability to follow set up instructions, set up, and operate machine controls.
• Troubleshoot machines.
• Precision work on parts with close tolerances.
• The ability to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety culture and wear PPE when required.
• Operate a CNC Milling Machine.
• Perform precision work on parts with close tolerances.
• Follow ops sheets and instructions for product specifications.
• Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements with proper documentation.
• Observe overall operation and perform daily maintenance on equipment and work area.
• Verify and visually inspect your work and dimensions per ops sheet.
• Fill out production paperwork and inspection procedures as required.
• Maintain specifications by troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; observing tooling; taking measurements; detecting malfunction.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.

CNC Machinist - Milling

Full Time Direct Tell Tool Operations, Westfield, MA, US

Salary Range: $26.10 To $37.00 Hourly

Job Position Summary:You will be responsible to produce a quality part by setting up and running parts, then being able to inspect your work and if needed make adjustments.

You must have:

• A high School Diploma or Equivalent. Tech School preferred.
• 3+ yrs Experience operating a CNC Milling Machine
• Experience in the Aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of various metals, alloys, and other materials to optimize proper speeds and feeds.
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
• The ability to do basic set ups on 3, 4, and 5 Axis Machines
• The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
• The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
• The ability to follow set up instructions, set up, and operate machine controls.

Working Conditions:

• Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
• May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
• May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.

Second Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am Monday - Friday, 25% Shift Differential
