Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store and distribute product in our Rhode Island facility. You will help move goods, verify inventory accuracy and ensure safe handling of materials in a fast-paced setting.

You will operate forklift (preferred) and perform basic computer/system tasks to document shipments, with attention to safety and quality standards. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Good math and basic reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.

This position receives, stores and distributes product within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Responsibilities

• Transports product to and from designated areas in the facility
• Ensure proper storage and retrieval
• Consolidation of product in location
• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility
• Return overstock to proper locations and stock checks
• Renter shipment into igus system
• Stack goods in the correct locations by following inventory control instructions
• Check loads are secure
• Stack empty pallets
• Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prefer candidates with forklift operation experience
• Reliable attendance record
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs
