Job summary

Plateco is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to lead our production team, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and develop employees.

This full-time, salaried role oversees daily production activities, monitors KPIs, ensures schedules are met, and reports results to the Production Manager. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a proven ability to coach staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 2nd shift production employees and support staff.
• Monitor production throughout each line to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
• Ensure production schedules and daily goals are being followed.
• Monitor and report production KPIs and performance.
• Complete daily production and supervisor reports.
• Train and develop employees across production lines.
• Monitor daily attendance and address attendance concerns.
• Ensure employees are following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Minimize workplace accidents, incidents, and safety concerns.
• Complete accident, incident, and work-injury documentation.
• Complete and manage confined-space permits as needed.
• Monitor waste treatment production reports.
• Review bake oven production reports.
• Ensure production lines have the necessary supplies and materials.
• Check dumpsters and maintain proper housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Address and correct production configurations or process issues.
• Coordinate chemical and supply needs, including BB chemicals.
• Approve employee vacation requests within established guidelines.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
• Work closely with the Production Manager and other supervisors to maintain smooth production flow.
• Complete follow-up tasks and assignments from the Production Manager.
• Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and employee performance.
• Develop and implement strategies that support Plateco’s business and production objectives.

Plateco is a growing metal finishing and plating company in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. As customer demand continues to increase, we are expanding our operations and strengthening our leadership team.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and motivated 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our production team and help drive safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.

This is a growth opportunity created by our expanding business and newly added 2nd shift — not a turnover position.

Position Details:

• Position: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.
• Location: Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
• Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday.
• Salary: $76,232 annually.

What You'll Do:

Four brothers started the business in 1974 in a garage in Necedah, Wisconsin. The company built its first plating facility in 1977 and expanded to Reedsburg in 1982.
