Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor for our Reedsburg, WI facility. This full-time, exempt role typically works from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility required.

The Supervisor will oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity per Primex standards. Responsibilities include coaching staff, promoting safety, and optimizing work efficiencies.

• 3+ years of work experience in a leadership role is required, preferable in a manufacturing environment.

Primex Plastics Corporation, an international leader in the extruded plastic industry, is seeking a 2 nd shift Production Supervisor for our Reedsburg, WI facility.

Position: Production Supervisor – 2 nd shift

Full-time, Exempt

Hours: Typically, this role will work 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. but flexibility is required.

Monday through Friday is standard, with occasional weekend shifts

Setting: This role spends most of their time on the production floor with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery. PPE is required.

Position Summary:

Responsible for supervising and coordinating manufacturing operations on assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance meet Primex standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coach employees to achieve performance objectives by providing strong and effective leadership.
• Delegate work assignments and prioritize duties to maximize the efficient and effective use of personnel.
• Coach, train, manage, and appraise the performance of production staff, including frequent instruction and feedback, regularly scheduled performance reviews, and as-needed disciplinary actions.
• Promote and enforce safety programs and policies. Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure a safe work environment for all.
• Make recommendations and encourage employee feedback to improve efficiencies and reduce costs related to processes and equipment.
• Maintain general oversight of building conditions including cleanliness and safety concerns.
• Communicate and interact effectively with all employees on all shifts.
• Coordinate with other supervisors and departments across shifts.
• Promote employee morale, engagement, and teamwork.
• Lead by example.

Core hours are 3:00-11:00 p.m. with additional time as needed to organize daily activities.
This is an exempt position and requires flexibility but one could expect approximately 40-45 hours per week, on average.
