Job summary

NOVO Health Services seeks a hands-on 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead the Soil department, driving safety, quality, and productivity. You will oversee a team of production associates, ensure schedules are met, and collaborate with Maintenance and Quality to continuously improve operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in production supervision, strong leadership, and a commitment to a safety-first culture in a fast-paced healthcare-adjacent manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production supervision or industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading hourly teams and developing employees.
• Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar continuous improvement certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily 1st shift production operations within the Soil department to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Ensure production schedules are met while optimizing labor utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership to address operational issues and improve performance.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production associates to promote engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Support onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coverage planning.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and NOVO standards.
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture and address hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Monitor quality standards to ensure products meet NOVO and customer requirements.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities and track key metrics.
• Support standard work, audits, and compliance initiatives.

NOVO Health Services is seeking a hands‑on 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within the Soil department, driving performance across safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

This role is responsible for overseeing a team of production associates on 1st shift, ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and consistent service delivery to our healthcare partners.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production

• Lead daily 1st shift production operations within the Soil department to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
• Ensure production schedules are met while optimizing labor utilization and workflow efficiency
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership to address operational issues and improve performance

Leadership & Team Development

• Supervise, coach, and develop production associates to promote engagement, accountability, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols
• Proven experience leading hourly teams and supporting employee development
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment

Preferred

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar Continuous Improvement certification
• Experience leading 5S initiatives and Kaizen events in a high-volume environment
• Prior experience in a healthcare-adjacent or highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
• Experience using ERP or WMS software to track production data and labor
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
