Job summary

Praxis Packaging seeks a strong 2nd shift Production Supervisor to own daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee the production floor, ensure schedules and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across safety and productivity.

The role requires 5 years of related manufacturing experience, a supervisory track record, and the ability to manage priorities and organize workload.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination required.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience; liquids filling into bottles, flexible packaging or tubing preferred.
• Supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude required.
• Ability to work independently and organize priorities and workload.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all personnel and daily production floor operations.
• Ensure production schedule is followed and quality meets customer specification.
• Monitor productivity and adherence to policies, procedures, work instructions and safety.
• Act as expert for production-related knowledge; thorough knowledge of paperwork (SOP, WI) required.
• Communicate issues to upper management and/or Quality Department to ensure quality filling and packaging.
• Ensure rejected material is tracked appropriately.
• Monitor production supply levels and report shortages to Purchasing.
• Continuously review processes to increase productivity, quality and profitability.
• Continuously improve safety records by addressing safety issues.
• Motivate and review worker performance.
• Ensure HR policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed and documented.
• Monitor housekeeping and 5S throughout the shift.
• Assist with Training and Orientation.
• Ensure employees are trained according to their roles.
• Manages temporary workforce and checks-in employees.
• Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
• Improve effectiveness of the quality management system via quality policy, objectives, audits, data analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper PPE and safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Supervise all personnel and daily Production floor operations.
• Ensure that the production schedule is followed, and quality of finished product meets customer specification.
• Monitor productivity and adherence to policies, procedures, work instructions and safety.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination required.
• 5 years of similar manufacturing experience required, working withfilling liquids into bottles, flexible packaging or tubing preferred.
• Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
• Basic Mechanical and mathematical aptitude required.
• The ability to work independently, without supervision required.
• Ability to organize priorities and workload required.

Pay Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
