Job description

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials into high-quality finished products. This role may also include ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good repair.

This is a 2nd shift position - some weekends required

Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received and finished products shipped.
  • Oversee the equipment used to process raw & finished materials, ensuring it is kept in good working order.
  • Manage breakdowns effectively and coordinate with Maintenance for timely repairs.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
  • Achieve individual and department targets, goals, and objectives.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations, recognize safety as a top priority, and conduct/participate in regular safety meetings.
  • Assist in investigating accidents within jurisdiction and make recommendations to the Plant Safety Committee.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory/management capacity.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Technical school certificate or Associate's Degree.
  • Labor relations background with leadership & training experience.
  • Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.
