Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee manufacturing operations at our Minnesota facility. You will lead front-line staff, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in manufacturing, and the ability to manage multiple product lines while coaching teams and complying with regulatory quality systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of 2 years in a Supervisor/Leadership role
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing if you possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage activities within manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct production operations to ensure maximum output and quality
  • Possibly oversee multiple product lines
  • Participate in hiring and training personnel where applicable
  • Ensure regulatory quality system requirements are met in the area
  • Drive compliance to area standards incl. policies and procedures
  • Diagnose machine and tooling problems and minimize downtime
  • Handle special projects as assigned
  • Develop new solutions under guidance or in a team
  • Deliver products as part of a team
  • Work on cross-functional teams

Job Description

Role Summary:

The Production Supervisor 2nd shift supports completion of manufacturing operations in critically staffed areas. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading all aspects of managing the production for the facility during their assigned shift. This role is a key driver for safety, quality, and on-time delivery. In this role, you will perform the daily operations of the plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. This requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge.

Essential Responsibilities:

This position requires a developed and strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of relevant technologies, the oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, and the management of the hourly population of employees.

In the role of Manufacturing Supervisor - Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Responsible for leading and managing the activities within the manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination, and direction of production operations to ensure maximum output and quality
  • May be responsible for multiple product lines
  • Contributes to selecting, hiring, and training personnel where applicable
  • Ensures that regulatory quality system requirements are met in the area
  • Drives compliance to area standards including policies and procedures
  • Analyzes and diagnoses machine and tooling problems and takes corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedules
  • Handles special projects, as assigned and guided
  • Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization
  • Deliver products as part of a team
  • Work on cross-functional teams
Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of
  • 2 years of experience in a Supervisor role, Leadership role, Facilitator, Quality Facilitator, etc.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing (if you possess aBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university)

The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $84,000 - $92,000 USD.
