Job summary

Milwaukee Electronics is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while championing Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

You will train team leads, coach staff, and coordinate with cross-functional groups to meet schedules and customer requirements. Shift is M-F, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with an emphasis on accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Internal candidates must have a minimum of 2 years in a Lead role.

Responsibilities

SHIFT: M-F | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor leads and supports production operations to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role champions continuous improvement, builds high-performance teams, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and lean manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide daily leadership and direction to manufacturing team members in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Champion and lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Implement and sustain 6S and safety programs to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Coordinate work assignments and monitor team performance
• Act as a coach and mentor for production staff, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production schedules, quality targets, and customer requirements are met
• Complete administrative tasks in the MRP/ERP system, including scheduling, job tracking, and data validation
• Ensure production metrics are accurate, visible, and used to drive improvement
• Develop and train team leads in production processes, performance metrics, and system usage
• Promote and model company values, culture, and safety expectations
• Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment utilization, and product quality
• Work collaboratively with other supervisors and departments to ensure operational alignment
• Participate in Lean activities and support a culture of continuous improvementPerform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directly supervise manufacturing personnel
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing preferred
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience required
• Internal candidates must have a minimum of 2 years in a Lead role

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documentation and quality standards
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., job tracking, scheduling, validation)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math proficiency and ability to interpret performance metrics
• Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement

LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION

• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and manual handling
• Must be able to lift/move up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs occasionally
• Vision requirements: close/distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
