A leading company in the production sector seeks a supervisor to coordinate production workers and manage schedules. The role involves improving production methods, enforcing safety, and ensuring operational efficiency, requiring strong leadership and communication skills. Qualified candidates should have at least a two-year technical certificate and relevant experience in manufacturing.
SUMMARY:
Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees in the Cosmetics Filling, Packaging, Pre-weigh, and Compounding Departments. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Knowledge of Database software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
