We are looking for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to join the team. This position will be responsible for driving Nova Seal & Shelter production and growth on the 2nd shift while ensuring effective teamwork and collaboration with the 1st shift. Internally, this role manages the operations of Seals & Shelters, controlling costs of materials and labor. Externally, it aims to delight customers with on-time, high-quality products. The position has direct responsibility for operational safety, efficiency, and productivity, and indirect responsibility for P&L related to the Seal & Shelter Business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the Production Manager in scheduling production based on sales orders to meet customer requirements, including first and second-shift operations.
• Compile job packets for the production floor and issue change, cancellation, and rush orders.
• Ensure safety in the plant at all times.
• Operate production and manage personnel to maintain high productivity and efficiency.
• Lead and develop employees, fostering performance improvement.
• Analyze and resolve day-to-day production issues.
• Lead production team meetings and work overtime as needed.
• Train personnel in production processes.
• Coordinate procurement with the Supply Chain Team and ensure inventory control.
• Develop metrics to monitor departmental performance and ensure product quality.
• Schedule shipments and coordinate with Sales for timely delivery.
• Schedule maintenance, conduct time studies, and utilize manufacturing software.
• Create work orders, staff appropriately, and collaborate on new product creation based on customer input.
• Assist in product development, prototyping, and manufacturability evaluation, potentially involving travel.
• Support long-range planning, cost analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report on production output and shipments daily, and assist with costing and budgeting.
• Work closely with other departments to meet business objectives, emphasizing leadership, accountability, and employee development.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related experience, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and demonstrate accuracy and accountability.

Physical Demands:

• Regular sitting, talking, and hearing; occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

• Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles; usually quiet environment.
