About the Team: ZF Axle Drives in Marysville, Michigan, is a dynamic group responsible for manufacturing & assembling bevel gear sets, rear beam axles, and drive units. With over 600 employees onsite, the team works cohesively to ensure continuous production. The Production Supervisor will oversee the rear beam assembly area, managing 15-30 direct reports and working closely with the Production Superintendent. Flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shifts and mandatory, as needed overtime are essential for this role, which follows a 4-day, 10-hour work schedule.

What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor:

• Lead and direct activities of the team, responsible for team performance, maintaining discipline and productivity, including 5S and production standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on equipment and resource use; ensure compliance with ZF policies and procedures.
• Maintain a production floor presence, train individuals on equipment use, and provide other necessary training.
• Ensure effective employee relations, coaching, development, and resolve issues through problem-solving.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results; continuously seek improvements.
• Work with the team to reduce errors related to cost, downtime, and quality issues.
• Hold regular meetings on objectives, goals, and progress, including shop floor meetings and safety talks.
• Perform accident investigations using root cause analysis tools such as human error analysis and 5WHY.

Your Profile as a Production Supervisor:

• High School diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related experience; experience with a union workforce is preferred.
• Ability to supervise hiring, retention, performance reviews, and discipline.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Proven ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
• Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
