Role Overview
Murry’s Inc (MBC Companies), a manufacturer and distributor of frozen food products located in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd Shift. The role reports to the Plant Superintendent and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the food manufacturing production process to ensure the safe, efficient, and high‑quality production of food products.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production operations to meet customer demand and internal performance metrics.
- Ensure all food safety and quality standards are followed in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop production team members.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, adjusting schedules and resources to optimize output and reduce waste.
- Ensure proper sanitation, GMPs, and allergen control procedures are always followed.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Safety teams to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to production efficiency, labor utilization, equipment uptime, and material yield.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and foster a culture of safety among team members.
- Manage labor resources to meet production needs within budget.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation as required by internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new production employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a similar regulated production environment, with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance (HACCP, GMPs, SQF/BRC, OSHA).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
