Job summary

Yanfeng International Automotive Technology Co. Ltd. in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) to direct activities in the production area, ensure on‑time delivery of quality products, and supervise 20+ staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with Production Manager.
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members.
• Monitor daily production requirements to meet customer and plant objectives.
• Train and monitor employee performance and update training matrix.
• Compile KPI data and distribute end-of-shift reports.
• Ensure training and daily rotations are in place and enforced.
• Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and EHS requirements.
• Participate in CI initiatives and quality improvements.

Production Supervisor (2nd shift)

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing all activities within the assigned area of the production departments. Ensures the on-time production of quality products while handlingthe daily supervision of the departmental personnel.

Supervisory Capacity: Direct Reports: 20+

• Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager/Leader Production (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
• Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring EHS and 5S policies and standards are followed.
• Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
• Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
• Ensure job training anddaily job rotations are in place and enforced.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of company handbook, safety guidelines, all rules,programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
• Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
• Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
• Daily reviewof process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.

Required EducationLevel: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Area of Study: General Studies
Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions. Required Qualifications:

• 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience in production.

• Just in Time (JIT) & Just in Sequence (JIS) environment experience, preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish aplus.
