Job summary

Tasus Corporation in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking a production supervisor to develop quality manufacturing associates (QMAS) and direct their day-to-day tasks. This hands-on leadership role requires organizing production schedules while maintaining a professional attitude toward all staff.

You will ensure adherence to SOPs, safety policies, and department procedures, review performance, and collaborate across teams to meet manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct supervision with hands-on leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow safety policies and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently, complying with policies and the TASUS Quality Management System.
• Understand and ensure team follows the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Handle performance, disciplinary and attendance issues per handbook guidance.
• Complete shift documents and reports.
• Effectively communicate with other departments and escalate issues appropriately within their department.
• Assist production staff with TPS meetings and projects.

Job description

• A production supervisor is responsible for developing quality manufacturing associates (qmas) and directing their job assignments. A production supervisor will also provide technical hands on leadership to the production staff. Must also convey a professional attitude towards all employees while recognizing the responsibility to meet production schedules.

Duties and responsibilities

• Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management System
• Understand and ensure team is following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Handle performance, disciplinary and attendance issues. Review employee performance as outlined in handbook
• Complete shift documents and reports
• Effectively communicate with other departments and escape appropriate issues within their department
• Assist production staff with TPS meetings and projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct supervisor. Must have hands-on leadership ability.
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to work and lead in a team environment and maintain and encourage positive attitudes
• Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Working conditions

• Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.

Physical requirements

• Standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.
