Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Production Supervisor located in Northfield, MN.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality, and cost goals.

Typical Day

1. Responsible for the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
2. Review daily/regular plant operating performance, evaluate areas impacting performance, and advise on changes to improve efficiencies/quality.
3. Troubleshoot operational problems and advise on their resolution. Coach operators to improve performance and operational understanding.
4. Evaluate ideas for plant improvements and collaborate with engineers on project proposals.
5. Provide technical/operational advice to project teams.
6. Act as interface between the operation team and maintenance.
7. Train and coach junior operators and supervisors.
8. Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
9. Participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
10. Assist in department budget planning and manage expenses.
11. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
12. Ensure all manufacturing personnel are trained and certified.

Desired Experience

• Strong people and process management skills.
• Knowledge of multiple technologies and processes, with understanding of interdependencies.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Oracle ERP/Oracle Agile, and database software.
• Ability to supervise and discipline staff.
• Problem-solving skills, data collection, and interpretation abilities.
• Familiarity with Lean practices.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation

Pay Range (Minnesota): $64,700 - $89,000 annually
